GENEX: A Leap Toward Smarter Aerospace Manufacturing
GENEX will unveil its latest breakthroughs in digital twin technologies at the 15th EASN Technology Innovation Services International Conference, taking place in Madrid from 14 to 17 October 2025. With three dedicated sessions, GENEX partners will present cutting-edge results that are shaping the future of aerospace manufacturing.
On Day 2, Carlos Mallor Turón (ITA) will speak on smart manufacturing in Automated Fiber Placement (AFP), focusing on predicting composite quality through process data. Later that day, Evangelia Stamkopoulou (IRES) will address sustainability and circularity in aviation manufacturing, highlighting life cycle assessment and costing of thermoplastic composite aircraft components supported by digital-assisted repair technologies.
Day 3 will feature recent advances in Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) for aeronautics. Tadeusz Stepinski (AGH University of Krakow) will present on optimizing piezoelectric sensor networks for composite aerospace structures, followed by Javier Hernández Oliván (ITA), who will explore numerical analysis of experimental uncertainties in ultrasonic guided wave propagation for damage monitoring.
