RESEARCH CENTER FOR NON DESTRUCTIVE TESTING GMBH

The Research Center for Materials Characterization and Non-Destructive Testing (RECENDT) GmbH is an internationally recognized research organization and part of the UAR Innovation Network operating very successfully within the Austrian and international markets since 2009.

RECENDT implements customized high-tech solutions in the fields of material characterization and non-destructive materials testing. Their range of services incorporates the whole R&D process chain and stretches from application-oriented fundamental research to the development of state-of-the-art technology for industrial applications.

The company has gained an internationally acknowledged reputation as a partner as well as a coordinator in numerous national, EU, and international projects. The company is well established as a popular partner for local SMEs and multinational enterprises.

Within GENEX, RECENDT will develop a tailored state-of-the-art Terahertz (THz) spectroscopy monitoring system to estimate the degree of cure (DoC) of 3R-resin tapes and the degree of crystallinity (DoCr) of thermoplastic (TP) tapes during ATL processes, resulting in a demonstrator for Use Case #3. Moreover, the system will be endowed with advanced multiphysics simulation coupled with AI-based models allowing it to adapt ATL parameters and enable process control.
